As a new beekeeper, beek for short, there are several things that you will need to support your new hive.
The old saying is true, get 100 beekeepers in a room and there will be 110 ways to do things.
Since this is my first year keeping bees, I wanted to give my hives the best chance for support. The area around the hives are mostly wooded. There doesn't seem to be much plants that need pollination.
Bees can fly up to 3 miles to find pollen and nectar. I though I would supplement their diet with a feeder.
Here is a simple and inexpensive way to make a pollen feeder.
